10 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Were In NXT AND AEW
6. Tommy Dreamer
ECW original and Cody's polka-dot bedecked lickspittle Tommy Dreamer was in situ for AEW's big Double or Nothing debut last year, bringing into question his legendary everyman credentials by eliminating the supremely popular Orange Cassidy. He's since teased further in-ring appearances for the promotion, though for now is content to divide time behind the scenes and his active role in Impact.
Dreamer was a regular in the lower echelons of WWE's main roster following ECW's collapse in 2001, and latterly was a focal point of the company's successful throwback shows and later, somewhat less successful regular TV revival. A veteran of his vintage obviously had no particular place in the revamped NXT save a fan-pleasing cameo, then, and that's exactly what he provided during the black and gold brand's Philadelphia house show in 2015.
With fellow ex-ECW tank Rhyno in his sights at TakeOver: Unstoppable, a considerably greasier Baron Corbin decided to prepare by taking on another hardcore legend in the City of Brotherly Love. Naturally, it was the End of Days for Dreamer, who afterwards, with grim accuracy, described Corbin as a "future force" in WWE.
