10 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Headlined WWE PPVs
7. Snitsky
Whether it's 1987 or 2017, there's one constant in WWE - big guys will always be getting pushes they don't deserve. One of the most repellent came in the 2000s, when Gene Snitsky became a "star" based on being really ugly, having a foot fetish, and causing Lita to miscarry.
Snitsky's push happened just as Randy Orton was expelled from Evolution and went to war with his old outfit. Though Orton demanded a title shot at Triple H at the Survivor Series (this was during "The Game's" awful reign of terror on Raw that involved racism and necrophilia, among other things), a loss he suffered to Ric Flair meant that HHH could choose the PPV match. The result was a traditional Survivor Series bout, with each man helming a four-man team.
With the news that the winning team would get control of Raw for a month (each member would get to act as General Manager on a single episode of the show), stakes were high. Orton picked Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Tough Enough winner Maven as his partners, while HHH went with Evolution teammate Batista, Edge, and... Snitsky.
Clearly, someone had big plans for Snitsky - he was greatly protected in the bout, finding himself eliminated via DQ when he attacked Maven with a chair. Thankfully, plans changed, and this was Snitsky's only flirtation with the main event.
