10 Wrestlers You Won't Believe Defeated Brock Lesnar
6. Lance Storm
Lance Storm, more often than not, was treated as a quick-relief comedy act in the WWE rather than the technically proficient wrestler he often proved to be when given a chance after signing with them in 2001. He scored some early success by winning the Intercontinental Championship from Albert but more often not was comedy fodder and labelled as ‘boring’ on WWE television.
In early 2002, when Storm wasn’t doing anything of consequence, he worked with Lesnar to get him ready for his debut. They worked three nights in a row in January in a run on house shows, with Storm winning the first two matches but doing the honours for Lesnar the third night.
Storm has commented on that time with Lesnar: “I went out and Brock, he had a hell of a learning curve. He was really good. He was so easy to work with, because he was really good. He was frighteningly large and strong, but again he didn’t hurt me at all.”
Lesnar often has best matches of his career with smaller wrestlers like Storm, Rey Mysterio, Finn Bálor and AJ Styles to name a few. Except unlike the others Storm actually beat Lesnar.
