10 Wrestlers You Wouldn't Believe Competed In A G1 Climax
3. Terry Taylor
Rarely unattached to one of the two major promotions of any era, the former Red Rooster was uncommonly unemployed by WCW or WWF in August of 1992.
Between stints as the Taylor Made Man in WCW and 'Terrific' Terry Taylor in WWE, Terrence Taylor was one of the many gaijin performers to compete in NJPW for the NWA Heavyweight Championship tournament in 1992.
Set to face future Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Hiroshi Hase in the first round, Taylor's career spanning luck continued as he directly advanced to the quarterfinals, after Hase forfeited the match with a shoulder injury.
Paired with Kensuke Sasaki in the quarters, Taylor's luck ran out briefly, as he was soundly defeated by Sasaki in 9 minutes.
Signing with WWE a month later, Taylor went on to star in unforgettable feuds with Max Moon and Lance Cassidy, before, of course, returning to WCW just over a year later.
