10 Wrestlers You'll Never See In AEW
2. AJ Styles
In an alternate universe, it appears WWE's resident Phenomenal One could've been the name on just about everyone's lips as AEW Dynamite officially got underway in October 2019.
As Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter would later confirm, a pitch to have The Good Brothers and AJ Styles come in and kickstart AEW's first real faction war with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega was seriously considered for the first-ever episode of the Wednesday Night delight.
Yet, with Styles and Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson ultimately staying put - before the latter duo would part ways with WWE in 2020 - said plans were shelved in favour of the newly formed Inner Circle closing the show.
And for those hoping to one day see the former WWE, IWGP, and TNA Heavyweight Champion show up in TK's company before calling it a day, Styles' recent decision to extend his stay within Vinnie Mac's company and declaration that he doesn't "want to have to work anywhere else" looks to have pretty much closed the door on that long-waited Bullet Club storyline under the AEW banner.
