10. Kurt Angle Is Portrayed As Sexually Aggressive
Kurt Angle is one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time, but apparently that wasn't enough for WWE in 2005. A feud against Booker T lacked a little sizzle as far as those writing the storylines were concerned, so the decision was made to add a twist. Instead of simply letting Angle and Booker tear it up inside the ring, the Olympic Gold Medal winner was made out to be a sexual predator. That is not a typo, WWE even had Angle cut promos calling Sharmell (Booker's wife) a "gutter slut". He also went as far to literally shout that he wanted to have "bestiality sex" with her. Meanwhile, he would accost Sharmell in her dressing room, later trying to twist the story and say that she tried to force herself upon him. The story ended when Booker beat Angle twice on television, first at Judgment Day then on Smackdown. To cap things off, Sharmell was allowed to handcuff Kurt to the ring ropes and kick him in the groin. For anyone watching, this was a sickening use of talent. Portraying Angle as a heel wouldn't upset anybody, but the angle was simply too much for most people to stomach. Words such as "bestiality" have no place on pro wrestling programming. There's just no excuse for it.
