10 Wrestling Characters That Had The Plug Pulled On Them Immediately

5. Fake Kane

Doing a fake anything act in wrestling is a recipe for absolute disaster. Fake Diesel, Fake Razor Ramon, Fake Kane, etc. Though perhaps karma came back to get Glen Jacobs, as the man playing Kane also played Fake Diesel, so he had to personally experience what Kevin Nash went through years earlier.

Before Luke Gallows was Festus, he was the imposter Kane in 2006. He came in wearing the old, original Kane outfit where his entire body was covered, along with a gigantic, ridiculous looking wig on top of his head. But he was briefly positioned as being far tougher than the actual Kane. They had a match at Vengeance, which the imposter actually won!

Then the next night on Raw, Kane pushed Fake Kane out of the building with ease and he was never seen again. That little bit of rejection was enough for him to give up the wrestling business entirely.

In total, Fake Kane lasted less than one month on TV, and he competed in one solitary televised match. It's likely due to fans not being overly enthused with the original Kane at the time that management realised a second one was completely unnecessary

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
