Eric Bischoff's new "83 Weeks" podcast is a stirring listen for anyone who likes hearing unpopular viewpoints challenged by a strong host. That's the role Conrad Thompson plays expertly, and his argumentative nature was out in force on the latest episode.

When discussing Bret Hart's move to WCW in 1997, Bischoff seemed to suggest that he hadn't enjoyed much of Bret's work in the WWF before signing him.

Specifically, Eric didn't think much of Hart's anti-American storyline that turned him heel in the United States but kept him babyface in Canada and other countries. To Bisch, the whole thing was "weak ass", didn't make sense and hadn't drawn a dime. Ouch.

Bischoff only wanted Hart to hurt his opposition and because he needed a marquee name to help Thunder succeed. To the WCW head, it wasn't important that Bret had previously been the hottest heel in the WWF. He was always going to be a babyface in WCW.
