Daniel Bryan dropped quite the bombshell during a chat with SportsBible this week, and it reveals that he was seriously considering cutting ties with WWE after all before returning as a full-time wrestler.

Last year, Bryan and wife Brie Bella bought a new home in Washington state. At the time, both claimed in YouTube videos that they had a lot of affection for the area and that's why they made the move. Whilst that's partly true, they also did it because flights from Seattle to Japan would be easier on Daniel.

Yes, he was thinking one step ahead about working in NJPW if WWE wouldn't let him wrestle.

Bryan admitted that he thought working for New Japan was one of his only options. His WWE contract was coming to an end anyway (it's set to expire this September, the same day as All In) and he thought living in the Washington area would make commuting to Japan more straightforward.

That's pretty huge news. Daniel Bryan bought a house on the basis that he'd be able to make a pro wrestling comeback if WWE wouldn't play ball.
