4. Edge Drove To His WWF Tryout In Christian's Mother's Car

In 1996, a young Edge (as Sexton Hardcastle) replaced Bob Holly's scheduled opponent at short notice on a WWF house show in Hamilton, Ontario. The company had been frantically sending out calls all day to try and get Holly someone to work with, and they eventually managed to get a hold of Edge's mother.

That's when she, also unable to get in touch with her son, sent out a call to his good pal Christian and asked for help.

It was Christian who then tracked down his childhood buddy, told him what was happening and agreed to come pick him up. There was just one problem, he'd have to borrow his mother's car, and they were running short on time. Somehow, with little time to prepare, they made it to the arena and Edge rushed to the ring.

Had it not been for Christian leaping into his mother's car, there's a chance Edge's first proper tryout with the company might not have happened. Let's hope Edge bought him a few snazzy pair of oversized sunglasses to make up for his effort.
