9. How The Bar Extended Sheamus' In-Ring Career

It wasn't reported too much at the time, but Sheamus was diagnosed with spinal stenosis last year. The debilitating condition narrows the space between parts of the spine and can cause weakness, numbness and crippling pain. It's roughly the same thing that caused Sting to retire back in 2015.

So, how is the Irishman able to continue wrestling?

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful got the scoop from various sources within WWE recently. According to those sources, Sheamus' tag-team with Cesaro has prolonged his wrestling career over the past while. As part of a duo, the onus wasn't on Sheamus to take quite as many bumps as he did when wrestling solo, and thus The Bar extended his shelf life.

One has to wonder why WWE moved Cesaro to Raw and seemingly split the team then. Maybe they haven't, because Cesaro was still wearing The Bar's gear for his match with Cedric Alexander on Monday's show. Perhaps Sheamus will follow him in time.
