At WWE's Payback pay-per-view in early-May, a match between The Vaudevillains and Enzo Amore & Big Cass was cut drastically short. After just a few minutes of back-and-forth action, Enzo smacked his head hard on the bottom rope and flopped out of the ring. It was clear straight away that this bump wasn't planned, because Amore made no attempt to protect his head during the fall.

There was noticeable panic in the voices of the announce team, and the bout was stopped whilst Enzo received medical attention. Later, it was revealed that he had suffered a nasty concussion, and was forced to take some time off to recover.

Promoting SummerSlam this week, Enzo spoke with FOX Sports about the concussion. Coming to in hospital, Amore had no idea what was going on or why he was in a hospital bed. As soon as he awoke, the first thing he saw was both Big Cass and Sami Zayn looking over him.

Enzo couldn't even recall leaving the arena, or anything to do with the match he had just been wrestling.
