When he wasn't prancing around as Stardust (more on that later), Cody Rhodes was striving to make a name for himself as a top worker in WWE. During his time as part of the Legacy faction with Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase Jr, it seriously looked like he'd become a future main event star.

Not with a name like "RKO Bump Guy" he wouldn't.

In an interview on Talk Is Jericho, Cody laughed as he said that was his wife Brandi's personal nickname for him in Legacy. She had a funny take on Rhodes' role in the stable, even remarking that he was only there to soak up hits before Randy hit his finisher and won. She has a point, that can't be denied, but that was his spot.

The jokey name later had an impact on Cody's thoughts when he left WWE; Rocky Romero called him up to ask about joining Bullet Club, and Cody's mind immediately flashed between standing on his own merits or being part of a group again.
