7. JR's Wife Was P*ssed At Him For Blading

The image of Jim Ross bleeding 'like a stuck pig' (to borrow the announcer's own unique terminology) was gruesome on the 18 April 2005 Raw. Stuck in a No DQ main event he had no business being in, JR dutifully bumped around for Triple H and bladed his forehead.

His wife was far from happy. In fact, that's an understatement. She was p*ssed.

To her, it was unacceptable that a non-athlete like Jim would be put in that position. According to Ross, creative were the ones who pitched it to Vince McMahon, and he agreed that having Batista make the save would build him as a hero opposite Triple H. In order for that to work, Jim had to get some colour.

It's easy to spot Triple H doing the cutting for JR when watching the match back on the Network. Lord only knows what his loving wife was thinking back home as 'The Game' peppered her man with stiff-looking punches and the camera zoomed in to capture blood pouring down his face.
