It must have been truly frustrating for Joe Hennig to hear that WWE wanted to repackage him as Michael McGillicutty in 2010 for a purpose of an appearance on the old NXT show. As the son of Curt 'Mr. Perfect' Hennig, the name change was totally baffling, completely undermining Hennig's chances at success.

Now, Joe is known as Curtis Axel on television, but he's hardly a major part of the product. A member of The Social Outcasts, Axel is a bit part player at best. That's equally as irritating to Bret Hart, who can't believe that WWE don't realise the talent they have on their hands.

Via his own podcast, The Sharpshooter Show, Hart said that Axel is every bit as quality inside the ring as his more famous father. There will be some who disagree with that glowing appraisal, but Bret was unwavering with his words.

Axel has been WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion to date, but upward mobility seems hard to come by. For Bret Hart, that's a crying shame, because he thinks Curtis has everything.
