Leaving the WWF in the early-Summer of 1996, Scott Hall waved goodbye to his established Razor Ramon character and joined WCW. Even though he formed the infamous nWo and made a huge impact on the promotion, Hall's career was arguably never the same once he left Vince McMahon's juggernaut.

Discussing that period with The Kingston Whig-Standard, Hall remarkably revealed that he never received any residual or royalty payments from WWE for close to 15 years. Even more incredibly, his good friend Kevin Nash (who had left to join WCW with Hall) was paid royalties by McMahon even after leaving the company.

That's a head scratcher, leading one to believe that Hall and Vince left things on bad terms. According to Scott, that's not the case, McMahon was simply protecting him. At one point, Vince even told Hall that he refused to give him extra cash with which to spend on drugs and alcohol.

WWE would pay for his rehab and medical bills, but they wouldn't give him cash to play with. To his credit, Hall feels this was McMahon's way of trying to help him.
