The WWE Network has given long-forgotten characters like Glacier a second chance to shine. A new generation of fans has been introduced to World Championship Wrestling's glory days, and that's when the Mortal Kombat-inspired gimmick was prevalent. As it turns out, the flashy character cost a lot of money to assemble. Ripping off 'Sub Zero' from the aforementioned popular video game franchise, Glacier was someone Eric Bischoff had high hopes for. Making his debut in 1996, the gimmick was given a lot of air time. Even before showing up in person, Glacier was treated to the hype treatment, several vignettes painting him to be a big deal. The character would never really become anything more than a mid-card attraction. Even worse than failing to catch on with fans, Glacier was expensive. Due to the costume upkeep, pyro and machinations of his entrance, WCW were forking over around $10,000 every single time he appeared in a match. In fact, in the words of the man behind the gimmick, Glacier cost around $4000,000 to assemble. That was one expensive costume.
