10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

3. CM Punk Feels He Took Himself Too Seriously

Phil 'CM Punk' Brooks has completely removed himself from the professional wrestling industry. It's a credit to just how good the man was that he's still being talked about in pro wrestling circles. Looking to launch a Mixed Martial Arts career in UFC, Brooks maintains that he's happier away from World Wrestling Entertainment. Since his departure in early-2014, CM Punk has been brazen when quizzed about his time with the company. On several occasions, he has even lashed out at the way he was treated, laying into everyone from Vince McMahon to Triple H. Obviously, such remarks have caught the eye of the wrestling news world, but one stunning admission from Punk came out this week. In amongst all his brash and bold words, Punk says he was guilty of taking himself too seriously during his career. That's one of the first times that the man has admitted something wrong from his end. Clearly, Brooks was deadly serious about what he was doing in wrestling, but he has rarely mentioned that as a negative coming from his end.
