10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

5. Charlotte Feels Being Ric Flair's Daughter Has Closed Doors

As part of the ongoing 'female revolution' currently sweeping through WWE, it seems only a matter of time before Charlotte becomes WWE Divas Champion. Nikki Bella's reign has been impressive, but nothing lasts forever, and there are so many new faces on the roster to work with. The pressure of coping with the WWE lifestyle isn't all that's in Charlotte's mind. The daughter of Ric Flair, Charlotte had preconceptions from others about her abilities before she even stepped foot in the ring. In her mind, that made her task even harder than it could have been without being expected to follow in her dad's footsteps. In her own words, Charlotte claims that her father's legacy has actually closed more doors for her that it's opened. Obviously, having the 'Nature Boy' as a father figure must have been interesting growing up. It's hard to imagine that Flair hasn't helped his daughter during her life, or didn't put in a good word for her with WWE officials. Nonetheless, Charlotte thinks it's easy to become overshadowed by what her dad achieved, which is very much understandable.
