5. Jeremy Borash Believes WWE Dropped The Ball With EC3
Previously going under the pretty lifeless name of Derrick Bateman, Michael Hutter has been earning rave reviews for his work as Ethan Carter III in TNA. Recently, EC3 faced Rockstar Spud in a 'Hair vs. Hair' match which had a lot of people talking on social media - the pair managed to weave a fine tale, one revolving around the arrogant Carter treating the diminutive Spud like he didn't belong in the big time. It was a simple story, but one that was entirely effective in enhancing the reputations of both men. One of the most respected figures in all of Impact Wrestling, Jeremy Borash has spoken out on his belief that WWE dropped the ball with EC3. Clearly feeling that WWE's loss has been TNA's gain, Borash says that Carter has all the tools to become a major player in wrestling, and can't believe that this is something WWE couldn't see. Let's be honest, being mired in the useless reality concept for NXT several years ago, as well as being given such a generic, uninspired name, didn't really help the man stand out, but maybe this is a case of him thriving in the smaller pond that is TNA?
