The viability of Roman Reigns as a top star in WWE is something that's constantly debated, even by some of the promotion's biggest legends. Steve Austin is routinely outspoken with his thoughts on the current product, and one of the latest episodes of his podcast proved no different.

During that episode of the Steve Austin Podcast, Austin analysed Reigns vs. Triple H from WrestleMania 32. A lot of people believed it was a poor decision to have the match headline the pay-per-view, almost as though Roman was being hung out to dry by those in charge. His triumph did feel a little flat amidst a backdrop of boos.

For Austin, the bout should have been much shorter. Lasting just a few minutes shy of half an hour, it was the second longest match on the card. That didn't sit well with Austin, who felt Reigns was left exposed by the booking.

Watching backstage, the legend believed Reigns needed to come in, run through his power routine and leave dominant, instead of trying to work a back-and-forth epic.
