One notable aspect of Eric Bischoff's podcast is that the former WCW boss doesn't shy away from criticism. In fact, Eric is candid when criticising himself, owning up to mistakes he made in the past. Older and wiser, he now has the advantage of experience, making it easier to reflect on his career.

Joined by Sean Waltman this week, Bischoff literally asked the wrestler why he had been fired from WCW. For his part, Waltman wasn't really sure, saying he heard rumours that it was to get back at a misbehaving Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Eric had heard those stories too.

It's hard to disbelieve Bischoff nowadays, especially when he has been so open about past transgressions. Via Bischoff On Wrestling, the ex-WCW head honcho claimed he didn't think that could be the reason. Unable to remember in vivid detail, he said he didn't think something so cowardly was in his character.

Bischoff said he didn't fire Waltman to punish Nash and Hall, he would have directed any punishments solely towards them instead of involving others.
