10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Dec 16)

4. Chyna's Death Doesn't Change WWE's Stance On Her

Sadly passing away on April 20, 2016 aged just 46, Joanie 'Chyna' Laurer did so without ever being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Personal problems with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon led to Chyna's departure from the then-WWF in 2001, and the once-dominant female never returned to the fold.

During an interview conducted by Steve Austin on the WWE Network in February, 2015, Triple H referenced Chyna's work in pornography as one reason for not agreeing to induct her into the Hall Of Fame. This week, 'The Game' spoke with Newsweek and claimed that his ex-lover's death has next to no bearing on any potential induction.

Softening his tone somewhat from the Austin special, Triple H said Chyna would have been in the conversation anyway had she not tragically passed away in the Spring. In order to leave things on a nice note, he also said that nothing she did after her in-ring career ended could diminish what she achieved during it.

Some may have guessed that WWE would be more open to a Chyna induction following her death. It appears that isn't necessarily the case.
