It's safe to say that Bill Goldberg's first stint in WWE wasn't the happiest time of his career. From 2003-2004, Goldberg struggled to recapture the magic of his WCW tenure, meaning he wanted out of the promotion right before WrestleMania XX. Thankfully, Steve Austin was on hand to keep things light-hearted.

Speaking on his Steve Austin Show podcast, Austin chatted with former WWE timekeeper Mark Yeaton. One of Yeaton's many tasks during his career was keeping Steve in beer, it was Yeaton who routinely tossed those cans to Austin post-match. On the house show circuit, those beer bashes could go on for a while.

Laughing about that era now, Austin revealed that he would regularly rib Bill Goldberg by trying to get him drunk. When the cameras stopped rolling, Austin would instruct Yeaton the keep the beers coming. Handing Goldberg can after can, Steve knew that his peer couldn't turn them down due to his tough man gimmick.

Every time Goldberg would attempt to leave the ring, Austin would give him another beverage and laugh about the fact Bill had to drink it.
