It's only a matter of time before WWE realise how good Drew McIntyre is and give him a shot on either Raw or SmackDown. The Scot has been awesome since returning to the company last year, and his run as NXT Champion felt like a continuation of the excellent work he'd left behind on the independent circuit.

McIntyre's past was honoured by induction to the ICW Hall Of Fame this past week. Had Triple H not intervened though, Drew's big celebration would have been a remote one; it was 'The Game' who suggested that McIntyre had to be there in Glasgow to accept the award personally.

That meant the world to Drew.

In an interview with The Mirror, McIntyre said Triple H never hesitated upon finding out about the Scottish promotion's plans. Knowing how much Drew cherishes his friendship with ICW promoter Mark Dallas and others, he gave his injured star permission to fly home and be there live.
