Late-1991 was a watershed moment in the careers of both Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty. The once-proud tag-team partners (working collectively as The Rockers) were on the brink of splitting, which is precisely why the pair worked a Barber Shop segment with Brutus Beefcake on television.

Invited on to try and settle their differences, Michaels and Jannetty ended up splitting for good. Just as it looked like they were the best of friends and all was well, the heel Michaels drilled Jannetty with a Superkick before crashing him through a sugar glass window pane to cement the break up.

Talking with the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast, Jannetty claims he barely even remembers going head first through the window at all. Opponents of The Rockers had expressed worries to him about how stiff Shawn's Superkick really was. This is something Marty found out first hand during the Barber Shop segment.

Knocked goofy by the move, he was already seeing stars for real when Michaels rammed him through the glass. It wasn't until Shawn put hands on Jannetty again that he began to regain his bearings.
