Bam Bam Bigelow and Chris Jericho didn't cross paths too many times during their respective careers, so it may seem a little odd that Y2J was chosen to talk about the deceased big man at length on the Killing The Town podcast this week.

It turns out that Bam Bam may have helped Jericho get signed by WCW during one 6-man tag match in 1995. Both were working over in Japan and the booking called for Bigelow to beat his young Canadian peer senseless. As Eric Bischoff was in attendance scouting for talent, Bam Bam didn't believe that was the best use of Jericho's talents and was instead very giving to the relative rookie.

Going against the orders of New Japan was risky. Somehow, Bam Bam got away with it and helped Y2J get noticed by WCW management. Later, Paul Orndorff sent word to Jericho that Bischoff was interested in hiring him, and the rest was history.
