The Wrestling Observer don't believe Braun Strowman has a hope in hell of winning the Universal Title on Sunday. Dave Meltzer doesn't even think Strowman has a shot at winning the Royal Rumble either. In the Observer's mind, Braun is heading for a showdown with The Miz at WrestleMania instead.

According to Meltzer, an Intercontinental Title match between the pair is one tentative plan WWE have for their biggest show of the year. It'd allow creative to focus on Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar without trying to force Strowman into the issue, and it'd also give Miz a featured opponent in New Orleans.

The IC Title does feel like a demotion for Braun though, that can't be denied.

Strowman doesn't need the Intercontinental Title quite as much as Miz. Already over with fans who enjoy his destructive ways, the 'Monster Among Men' has enough credibility without stealing someone else's. Unless WWE plan to move Miz upwards, they should think twice about this one.
