1. Bret Hart Praised 1-2-3 Kid For King Of The Ring '94 Performance
It may seem difficult to imagine now, but there was a time when the King Of The Ring was treated as something with prestige in WWE. Truthfully, fans would have to go back to the time when the company was known as the WWF for that, but the first pair of pay-per-view events were wonderfully worked. During the first in 1993, Bret Hart emerged with the crown. The next year, it'd be his brother Owen who received the honour. This was booked mainly to build up to a series of WWF Heavyweight Title matches between the siblings that Summer. Watching backstage on the monitor, Bret was impressed by one of Owen's opponents on the 1994 event. Competing as The 1-2-3 Kid, Sean Waltman told WrestleTalk TV that Bret waited behind the curtain to personally praise him after his King Of The Ring final against Owen. The 'Hitman' had enjoyed the match, and felt Waltman played a huge part in making it such a success. As The 1-2-3 Kid, Waltman had produced awesome matches against Bret on Monday Night Raw, and would do so again with both Hart brothers.
