Released by the company in early-May, Damien Sandow's WWE story is one of untapped potential and what might have been. Winning the Money In The Bank Ladder Match in 2013, he was poised to challenge for the World Title. Upon being booked to fail, he slid drastically back down the company ladder.

Over the years, fans had become frustrated over management's lack of consistency with Sandow. For his part, he was always entertaining, even when booked in low-card acts like being The Miz's stunt double or impersonating 'Macho Man' Randy Savage in a tag-team with Curtis Axel. Remarkably, Sandow himself can't take anything but positives from his run with the organisation.

Speaking from the heart to Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard, the former WWE Tag-Team Champion said he looks back on his tenure fondly. Able to entertain the fans, he reasons that is mainly why he views his WWE run as a complete success.

At peace with his release from wrestling's biggest promotion, Sandow clearly has a 'glass half full' outlook on life which is heartening to see.
