1. HBK Was Supposed To Celebrate With Daniel Bryan At 'Mania XXX
If fears ring true and Daniel Bryan's active in-ring career is over in WWE, at least the man will be able to look back at WrestleMania XXX as a time when everything was going right in his career. Being honest, WWE as an organisation probably weren't all that interested in pushing Bryan to the top of the ladder, but the lethal combination of his natural bond with the audience and startling talent ensured that they couldn't ignore his ability to lead the line on top of the card. Defeating Triple H in the opener at 'Mania XXX, Bryan then went on to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a stellar Triple Threat main event against both Randy Orton and Batista. The Spring of 2014 was a brilliant time for Daniel, but it could have been even better had a pre-planned celebration went ahead as scheduled. Revealing during a Q&A session in the UK alongside Jim Ross this past week that he was supposed to be involved, WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels says that it was only the result of the Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker match that stopped him from going out and embracing Bryan. Michaels had trained Bryan during his formative years, and this would have been a nice touch, but HBK actually left the building following the end of The Streak, feeling it was very much the wrong move by WWE.
