10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 5)

6. WWE Will Present NXT Action From Japan On WWE Network

The current era in WWE may be regarded as the 'PG Era', but some fans are starting to refer to it as the 'Indie Era', due in no small part to the sheer amount of talent the company have signed from independent promotions over the past few years. Of course, WWE have long been signing wrestlers who have made a name for themselves in the world of pro wrestling, but there was a period when Vince McMahon and company seemed to shy away from men such as Daniel Bryan and Fergal Devitt. Now, the promotion have one of the best collections of world class talent ever, and if those performers are allowed to shine to full capacity there's no way they won't have stunning matches against one another. This July, WWE will travel to Japan for a pair of shows inside the infamous Tokyo Dome, and the promotion's official YouTube channel officially announced that at least one of those events would be aired on the WWE Network. It remains unclear whether or not the entire show will be available for viewing, but WWE have made it extremely clear that a match for the NXT Championship between Kevin Owens and Finn Balor will be aired. This is exactly the kind of thing the WWE Network should be about, and fans are already getting hyped about the bout. Expectations are that Balor will bag the title on the show, due to his popularity in the Orient before joining WWE.
