10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 5)
5. Goldberg Says He Plans To Promote Own Event
Ever since Bill Goldberg departed WWE following WrestleMania XX in 2004, fans have been plaguing the man with questions about exactly when he'll be returning to the juggernaut promotion. To date, the former WCW World Champion has knocked back any suggestions that he still has a role to play, stating repeatedly that he wasn't interested in coming back. It seems that the big man was less-than-thrilled about how his short stay in WWE between 2003-2004 panned out. Goldberg has said before that he wishes he hadn't even bothered working for the company, because it wasn't a great experience, but he remarked during a recent interview with Rolling Stone that he would like to perform again, if only so his son could see him in the ring. Given his dis-interest in working for WWE, TNA or even Global Force Wrestling, Goldberg revealed he is putting plans in motion to stage his own event at an unnamed stadium in the United States. In the same interview, the man said he was also interested in kickboxing, but surely he means he'd like to wrestle in front of his son, which would be the first match Bill Goldberg has taken part in for years.
