9. John Cena Felt Nobody Wanted To See His 'Mania 33 Match

A large number of fans inside the Camping World Stadium rained boos down on John Cena's marriage proposal to Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33. According to comments made by Cena to The Wrap, this doesn't come as much of a surprise. In fact, the lovestruck star believes few wanted to see him at 'Mania in the first place.

Pushing a mixed tag-team match also involving The Miz and Maryse on SmackDown each week, Cena became aware that audiences were rebelling on the idea of he and Nikki playing heroic babyfaces. That was evident from the lack of noise once the match got underway in Orlando.

It's not true to say that nobody wanted to see Cena and Bella vs. Miz and Maryse though. There was a response at the end of the 'Mania bout when the heel couple met their fate and did the honours, thus clearing a path for the wedding proposal.
