"This is Carmella. She's hot as hell, and you can't teach that".

It feels like a lifetime ago now that Enzo Amore was saying those words on NXT and he, 'Mella and Big Cass were one of WWE's most over acts. The trio fit together snugly, so much so that it was odd to see them split when Enzo and Cass made the main roster. To Amore though, that was the plan all along.

During a chat with Title Match Network, the ex-WWE star said it was Dusty Rhodes who first suggested Carmella join the team. Enzo liked it immediately, 'cause he figured that directive must've come from the top, and thought associating himself with a female management were high on would boost his own chances of succeeding.

If that sounds cold, it shouldn't. It's actually pretty clever. Amore knew bosses on the main crew would be keeping tabs on Carmella, and he used that to shine himself up. In effect, her spotlight was his ticket to Raw and SmackDown.
