10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (March 27)
8. Vince McMahon Once Had Jonathan Coachman "Arrested"
Speaking during a recent interview, former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas laughed as he recalled one of the best ribs he ever witnessed during his years in the pro wrestling business. Jonathan Coachman was working as the General Manager for the Raw brand at the time, innocently overseeing a harmless pool betting game between several WWE staff. According to Korderas, Coachman looked on horrified as Vince McMahon blew a gasket, telling him that such "illegal gambling" was unacceptable in WWE. Apparently not content to just watch his employee squirm, McMahon actually had the police pretend to arrest Coach at the arena, dragging him out in front of everyone else. Eventually, not everyone could keep a straight face, or perhaps they felt sorry for the guy, who quite clearly thought he was going to jail and no longer had a place in WWE. It's always interesting when these stories surface about the ribs that go on backstage, although Coach probably didn't see the funny side at the time.
