John Cena's apparent refusal to turn heel for the past decade has been a hot topic in the pro wrestling bubble for just as long; there is a section of the core fan base who believe Cena's holier-than-thou, childlike character has been crying out for a refresh since 2006/2007.

Incredibly, WWE almost pulled the trigger on a fully-fledged heel run for their poster boy in 2012 - and that would have come during a feud nobody would have expected it to.

That fact is joined by others about the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Bill Goldberg, Bray Wyatt and Enzo Amore. There's also a cool story about Charlotte reacting to online criticism and nearly cracking under the constant negativity from fans.

Let's look at the facts...

10. Goldberg Bought A Car To 'Treat Himself' Post-Survivor Series

It's fairly surprising to hear Bill Goldberg - a man who has returned amidst much fanfare to WWE and promptly been pushed to the moon - reveal that he has been miserable in the company ever since making his comeback in late 2016.

That's exactly what the WWE Universal Champion did during an exclusive interview with Edge and Christian for the former tag-team's new E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness show.

Goldberg himself has opened up during on screen promos to state that this recent run is more about giving his young son the chance to see him wrestle than ego; not old enough to really remember his dad's career in WCW or WWE the first time around, the boy has now witnessed Bill smash his way to a World Title.

It may raise eyebrows then to learn that Goldberg is far from happy; even calling himself "miserable" during the podcast appearance, Bill then went on to reveal that he had to buy a car on the way home to stave off the unhappiness after defeating Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.

This 'treat' was lavish, but kept Goldberg motivated to continue his recent run.
