Formed as a complete parody of what was going on in World Championship Wrestling, the bWo took on a life of its own in the original ECW.

Stevie Richards, Nova and The Blue Meanie acted as Kevin Nash, Hollywood Hogan and Scott Hall respectively, and the whole thing was played for laughs.

Speaking with excitement about the launch of his very first action figure, The Blue Meanie discussed the infamous faction with the UK Wrestling Figs blog recently.

According to Meanie, the Blue World Order wasn't supposed to be as successful as it would end up being. In fact, it wasn't supposed to be anything more than a one-off comedy skit.

ECW fans loved the bWo so much that t-shirts were made, and the gimmick even found its way to WWE years later. In the mind of the Meanie, the stable ended up defining his entire career and it's the thing most wrestling fans want to talk about when they meet him.

Not bad for something that was written as throwaway nonsense to entertain the ECW roster!
