10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 8)

8. WWE Seamstress Leaves Company

It's fair to say that most hardcore pro wrestling fans realise that there's a lot more going in to each show than just the in-ring performers themselves. The sheer number of people involved in the average WWE event is likely staggering, but it should come as no surprise that many of these workers are highly valued for the shift they put in. One of the most respected staff members in the backstage area is Sandra Gray, who has worked as the chief seamstress in WWE for the past 15 years. Signing on in 2000, Gray has been largely responsible for creating the outfits most stars in the company wear, and works closely with creative team members to ensure that each individual looks the best they possibly can. This week, Gray finished up with the company, and will move on to pastures new. On social media, the woman seemed quite emotional about the whole idea of leaving WWE, which is understandable given how long she has worked under the WWE banner. Even the legendary Jim Ross heralded Gray as an unsung hero of the promotion on Twitter, saying whilst many fans hadn't heard of her, millions of them had admired her work for years.
