5. Why Eric Bischoff Doesn't Like AEW Bash At The Beach

Eric Bischoff is currently standing in his living room with a baseball bat saying, "Come on, f*ckers" to hardcore wrestling fans. His words on the latest episode of '83 Weeks' will rankle some and cause them to decree that the Bisch is out of touch. To do so misses his point entirely.

He's merely concerned for AEW's presentation.

Bischoff doesn't like the fact that All Elite are bringing WCW's old 'Bash At The Beach' title out of retirement in January. To him, it represents a strange contradiction between AEW's status as a new kid on the block next to WWE. Eric doesn't believe AEW can credibly tout that mantra when they're digging up things from wrestling's past.

He's got a point there, though it's not one the company will heed. Bischoff would much rather AEW forged their own path, created their own special events and didn't lean on ones he booked 20 years ago. That's fair enough.
