4. Hulk Hogan Paid Jimmy Hart A Salary In WCW
Crash-landing in WCW during the Summer of 1994, Hulk Hogan captured the WCW World Title from Ric Flair at Bash At The Beach. From the get-go, 'The Mouth Of The South' Jimmy Hart was alongside Hogan in WCW, and wouldn't leave the company until the promotion closed doors in 2001. According to Kevin Sullivan, Hart's deal with the organisation was not what it first seemed. WCW officials were frosty about drafting in Jimmy to manage Hulk, but it was Hogan's idea. In order to remedy things and help out his buddy, Hogan actually paid Hart a standalone salary to make it worth his while. To make up for this, Jimmy Hart literally acted as the Hulkster's manager, organising his appearances, travel and other pressures. It's incredible to imagine that Jimmy Hart was actually being paid by Hulk Hogan to work alongside him. The manager was paid by WCW too, but Hogan's money made up for the fact it wasn't a bumper contract. This explains why Jimmy worked with Hogan for so long, he was genuinely trusted by the infamous wrestler to help keep his business in order.
