10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Oct 23)

3. Road Dogg Is Responsible For Dudley Boyz Comeback

As aforementioned during the intro to this article, The Dudley Boyz have looked awesome since returning to WWE in August. Directly going after The New Day upon reappearing, the duo have been in the WWE Tag-Team Title hunt ever since. It seems logical that they will be given a historic 10th WWE Tag belt win sooner rather than later, possibly even at the upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV. Earlier this year, Bubba Ray showed up as a surprise entrant in the 2015 Royal Rumble match. Fans hoped that D-Von would follow, but it wasn't to be. Eliminated by Bray Wyatt during the bout, Bubba still gave a good showing, and fans were excited to see him. It was none other than the Road Dogg, Brian James who was responsible for booking Bubba in the match. Seeing the crowd reaction to The Dudley Boy act, Road Dogg couldn't help but feel it was time to bring the tandem back to WWE properly. Previously, James himself had worked with Billy Gunn, bring back The New Age Outlaws to the company. The team received a good reception for nostalgic purposes. It was James who put The Dudley Boyz back in touch with WWE management, feeling people wanted to see them regularly again.
