Load up any list of worst wrestling finishers, and the long-lambasted legdrop used for years by Hulk Hogan is almost certainly going to take pride of place. Much of this will be because of how dominant Hogan was for so long, or it might be because of the Hulkster's dramatic and controversial fall from grace. Either way, watching Hogan put away young star after young star with a legdrop wasn't exactly a joyful experience.
This might be true in the wacky world of professional wrestling but you won't get me lining up to take a patented Hogan legdrop. These men have very large legs, anacondas full of muscle and bone, waiting to restrict blood flow and crush whatever is unfortunate enough to lay beneath.
In the case of this legdrop, the 'whatever' in question is a human throat. You don't need to be an expert to understand that a crushed throat means a crushed windpipe, which in turn means no oxygen making its way to the brain. It might look innocuous but don't underestimate the violence of the legdrop and the power of Hulkamania.
