Say hi to your new favourite tag-team that never was.

Doink The Clown was already well on his way to becoming a cult favourite by the time he wrestled flopping babyface Crush at WrestleMania IX. Fans loved the ominous presence of Matt Borne under the greasepaints, and they popped huge for this doppelgänger fun in the Nevada sun.

Steve Keirn, who'd go on to assume the gimmick on house shows once Borne checked out, was drafted in to play Doink #2 for the night. The ex-Skinner worked a memorable mirror image skit with the original clown after helping him win. Meanwhile, fans in attendance lapped it all up.

Bruce Prichard was once asked if the WWF ever considered making these double Doinks a full-time tag. He suggested that it was briefly considered, but never seriously. That's a bit of a missed opportunity, although Borne did leave the company several months later.
