10 Wrestling Icons That Were Humiliated On Camera

5. Jim Ross

Jim Ross' divisive All Elite Wrestling run thus far might have not always resulted in perfect harmony, but there's a certain comfort to knowing that the iconic announcer is in a place where he's free from potential ritual bullying and humiliation.

As they’ve all been delved into in detail even Ross himself is probably sick of, it’s worth considering that JR was subjected to in-work grief with such persistence that what went on in his headset or board meetings may well have dwarfed that of even the worst on-screen malfeasance he had to endure.

He and others have discussed the nightmarish reality of having the former Chairman in your ears, but Ross took more than his fair share. Kissing Vince McMahon’s *ss or absorbing the various physical assaults he was often asked to weren’t becoming of the greatest broadcaster in the history of the game, but were sadly par for a blighted and blotted course.
