10 Wrestling-Inspired Movies That Would Be Better Ideas Than 'Crossface'

Hulk Hogan may be one of the most famous professional wrestlers of all time that revolutionised the entire industry in the 1980's (and again in the 90's), but he also has a well-earned reputation for being one of its biggest bullsh*tters as well. So instead of a standard biopic, imagine a 'Walter Mitty' type fable where 'The Immortal One' lives out his tall-tales in a series of extended dream sequences.

Just a selection of Hogan's claims that would make the cut; that Elvis Presley used to come and watch him in Memphis even though Hogan didn't start wrestling in the city until 1979 (two years after Elvis' death), that he drank John Belushi under the table in 1986 (four years after his death), that he was asked to fight in UFC during the MMA promotion's early days, being first choice to play the lead role in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler and the story that he was personally sought out by Lars Ulrich to play bass for Metallica.

Unlike the other entries in this list, 'The Secret Life of Hulk Hogan' would be trippy as hell. Partying with the ghosts of celebrities, entering the octagon, starring in an Academy Award-nominated movie and rocking the intro to 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' live on stage would make for a surreal dive into the psyche of the deluded perma-tanned wrestling legend.
