10 Wrestling Matches That Did Not Go To Plan
2. Pretty Much Everything That Happened In DX Vs. The Brothers Of Destruction (2018)
Speaking of which!
Shawn Michaels was never supposed to come out of retirement. That wasn't part of the plan. HBK was supposed to be the exception which proved the rule when it came to 'legitimate' WWE in-ring endings.
Yet, when Saudi Arabia and The Brothers of Destruction came calling, Michaels decided it was time to tune up the band one last time.
So, it's just a shame that the music on the night of Crown Jewel 2018 was performed by a bunch of stars from yesteryear who looked like they hadn't picked up an instrument in decades.
Triple H tore his pec early on, which left a ring-rusty Michaels to do much of the heavy lifting. After this Kane hilariously lost his mask post-HBK punch. Michaels then performed a ridiculous moonsault and The BoD opted to let the 50-something retired legend land face first on the outside of the ring.
As you can see and probably unfortunately saw, not an awful lot went to plan here. But, in all honesty, having four knackered war horses go to battle in such a way should never have been on the cards in the first place and the company only had themselves to blame for this absolute shocker.
