Fans expected Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker to deliver one of the best matches in wrestling history at WrestleMania 25, and they managed to exceed expectations with an encounter that still defies description. Michaels took Undertaker to the limit, but in the end, 'The Phenom' made sure that the streak remained intact.

The next year, the same fans were excited when Michaels challenged 'Taker to a rematch, but there was an understanding that it would be hard for the men to repeat history. Undertaker was only getting more and more banged up with every passing year, and this time, Michaels - who had spent much of 2009 on the shelf - was also in questionable health. The added no disqualification and "career versus streak" stipulations looked like a way of compensating for physical shortcomings.

Nevertheless, the two men went to war once again, and though this encounter was substantially shorter than their first match, it was every bit the equal of the WrestleMania 25 bout. Once again, Michaels threw everything he had at Undertaker, but not in a way that felt repetitive or excessive. When Undertaker finally told Michaels to stay down (in a scene reminiscent of Ric Flair's retirement match two years earlier), then hit him with a jumping Tombstone, another all-time classic had been written.
