10 Wrestling Matches Vince McMahon Ruined

4. Daniel Bryan Vs Sheamus (WrestleMania 27 Pre-Show)

Daniel Bryan and Sheamus had three WrestleMania matches go to sh*t in the mid-2000s, but this was the worst of a truly terrible trio. It's unfortunate the legacy is attached to the biggest night of WWE's year too - in the right context they have had total bangers.

But WrestleMania has never ever been the right context.

A planned WrestleMania XXX match never happened after Bryan got the spot he deserved as a main eventer (and partially because CM Punk's January walk-out triggered a significant reshuffle), whilst their infamous WrestleMania XXVIII encounter only going 18 seconds inadvertently triggered the monosyllabic "movement" that caused an unthinkable fracture between WWE and its loyalest fans.

By comparison, this WrestleMania XXVII pre-show scuffle seems like small potatoes, but just describing it reads like a punchline only Vince McMahon would p*ss himself at. Bryan and Sheamus work the Kickoff for the United States Championship, but the match eventually gets changed to a battle royal won by The Great Khali. If that doesn't sound enough of a ginormous botch, their "real" match on the post-Mania Raw is used as a platform the debuting Sin Cara, who slips a bit during his grand trampoline entrance.
