10 Wrestling Matches WWE Must Promote Before 2018

6. Charlotte Flair Vs. Asuka

There has to be a reason WWE are casting Asuka as NXT's most dominant female. Look back to how Charlotte Flair was booked in 2016 and there are obvious parallels between both women that seem ripe for collision. Asuka vs. Charlotte would be one of the biggest female matches in years, and it simply must happen in 2017.

In order for the feud to work, Flair has to revert to type and become SmackDown's biggest female heel. Turning on Becky Lynch and then working a series against the Irish gal is one way of doing it. Then, just as Charlotte looks lonely at the top of the mountain, out comes Asuka to give her a fright by debuting on the blue brand.

WWE could keep this one in reserve for WrestleMania, but why wait that long? Asuka needs a good run at the main roster before 'Mania 34 to really establish herself; we've seen before how difficult it is to translate NXT celebrity into main roster success: just look at Bayley.
